Create Replica works slowly

Question

Creating a replica in my environment now takes ~8 hours.  It doesn't matter if the replica contains 30 feature classes or a single feature class. I think the tool is accessing/evaluating all items in the child database including views unrelated to the replicated feature classes.

* Pro 3.1.2
* Replica: one-way, simple, register existing data only
* Geodatabases: on-premise sql servers @ 10.7.1

Are any of you kind folks having similar problems?

Several items to confirm - does the tool complete and the replica gets created and we can sync edits ect to child?

Have you looked into the replica activity logs set to DEBUG? This can provide clues as to what exactly is happening during the creation time.
