Tracking AGOL feature layer edits through python api

I am looking to track edits made by users to an ArcGIS Online feature layer. Users have the ability to edit and add polygons to the layer. Screen shot attached is the editing settings for the layer. I know that there are ways to track user info using user.reports, is there something similar to that with an item?

 

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

With your settings, the Creator and Editor fields should get populated anytime you add or modify a feature.

Are you saying they are not being populated or a different issue?
