Extracting annotation from PDF maps

QDSGIS

Just wondering if anyone can provide insight or articles explaining the process, if any, to extract annotation text from a PDF map and then store in a GDB. Tried a couple Geoprocessing tools but no luck. Thank you for your assistance.
