Indoors requiring a user to sign in to make a reservation

I just want to confirm that in order for a user to make a reservation they have to be logged in to ArcGIS Portal. I would like to open the application up to "Everyone" and not require a user to login at all if that is possible.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Yes, I believe they also need to be assigned the Viewer, Indoor User, user type.

I think the user would have to be logged in with at least a "Viewer" user type because the application needs to know who is trying to make a reservation so it can see which hotels that person is assigned to. The email address is used as the key to tie the occupant layer to the O365 reservation request.

Hi @TomasL44 if you are using Microsoft 365 to manage reservations then you need the booking request to be initiated from another Microsoft account. May I know what are your plans regarding this in your case?

Yes, we use Microsoft 365 to manage reservations. My plans are to allow everyone in the entire enterprise to be able to use our solution to create a Office Hotel reservation. We have ~10k people in our enterprise so if they are required to login to Portal, I will need to establish a sync between our HR DB and GIS Indoors users in Portal in order for them to use the solution.

Hi @TomasL44 .. you would be happy to know that you can connect Azure AD with ArcGIS Online.

This way, all your users will not only get an account automatically but also get signed in to Indoors and be able to make bookings.
