Graduate Conservation Job

Hey guys. I'm a graduate and looking for a job in conservation. I found a 12 month internship for biological data and GIS. I only remember having used GIS in my second year of uni which was in 2019 for one very short module. For this type of job, how much understanding /knowledge of GIS should I have? I'm willing to learn from scratch as I can't remember anything, but I'd like to know what I'm in for.
