Cloud storage connection - parquet

Does anyone know if ESRI is planning on updating the Cloud Storage Connection in ArcGIS PRO to support table data? I have a large set of data in parquet, avalible in an Azure datalake, that I would like to access directly without having to copy the data to a local folder first.

Sort of, but not quite. I have two different maps that uses a BDC, one with data in parquet and one with data in csv. I understand form the post above that I will not be able to use parquet without first converting to a file database, but with the csv I can display the data directly from the BDC. My question is therefore if I anytime soon will be able to read the csv file from a Cloud Storage Connection. My csv file is continually updated and available in an Azure datalake. My hope was that I could make the ArcGIS online map "live" by accessing the csv directly from the datalake, instead of copying it manually to ArcGIS pro and publishing it, as I do now.
