publish a file geodatabase with multiple layers and change default layer index

i can use the publish-item endpoint with a file geodatabase

I can change the styling and default info for the layers in the filegeodatabase afterwards by the admin update definition-endpoint.

but I want to change the index of the layers. Even when I do have preserveLayerIds the layer indices start at 0.

How can I change this?
