Sharing services between enterprises...need recommendations coming from AGOL

Hi All, 

Currently we have a dataset configured as follows:

• dataset in enterprise GDB, published to unfederated ArcGIS Server.
• Service added to our AGOL org w/ credentials embedded
• AGOL item then shared to clients AGOL org and used in various web maps, etc.

We're in the process of helping the client move from AGOL to Portal. How do I maintain the dataset in our enterprise GDB and share it out the clients Portal? From what I've read about collaboration groups I don't think it's an option but I could be wrong.

You can use the same method of adding a service to ArcGIS Online, as you can with Portal (add as an item and embed the credentials). As the data is updated in your Enterprise GDB, it will be reflected in that published service / client's Portal
