Hillshade ColorShift

Helo everybody,

i have a question on the Hillshade Effect.
When i apply the Hillshade effect over the Symbology Menu,
all the colors get shiftet, they all get brighter.

Why is that, am i doing something wrong or is it just the way it should be.

Nothing happens to the colors when z factor is changed.

mess around with the z-factor to see what happens under both scenarios
