Create a custom interactive time slider in Story Maps

I am using the new storymaps for results communication of a wildlife survey. I want to animate flight path and observations over the duration of the survey. The time slider in AGOL and other apps do not speed up the animation enough to effectively represent the survey timeline. It would take over 20 minutes to display the entire survey. Is there a way to customize the playback speed of the time slider?

Hi, when viewing the time slider in Map Viewer, you can adjust the playback speed by going to Map Properties then finding the Time menu.

Is there a way to customize this speed? You are able to use a much faster playback rate in ArcGIS API for Javascript but this playrate scale only goes to 4x speed.

Nothing yet. I was told there might be more time slider customization in the next couple releases. I decided to create an animated video in ArcPro while I wait.
