Geological mapping setup

Question

Hello everyone, I'm new to the Esri community. My team is about to embark on geological field mapping using iPads. Any suggestions as to what apps to use or how to structure our data?

As a former professional geologist, but still a lifelong geologist I will say:
It all depends on the geology of the study area. The first thing I would do is overlay your area with a geology map. Sometimes your state geological society will have the best map. Once you have that you can see which areas have distinctive feature. Then decide how you can digitally map the distinctive features.
