Batch import PNG to a ArcGIS Pro style

Question

I have about 1800 pictures (PNG) separated into different folders that I would like to batch import to a .stylex in ArcGIS Pro 2.7.X. On my which list is that the picture symbol gets the name from the file name and that the category is named after the folder the picture was gathered from.

No luck to modify the add-in (can't get the original code from the add in). Also tried the add-in with 10.3 where the PNG-functionality was added but the add-in did not work with 10.3.

Unfortunately does not work with PNG (or I can't get it to work), but I will try to find a colleague that can modify the script. Worked like a charm with BMP.

Caroline - I wonder if the workflow in this thread would work to load the PNG's into an ArcMap *.style file. Then in ArcGIS Pro, you can import the *.style file into the ArcGIS Pro project and "maybe" save it out as a *.stylx.  Haven't tested it thought.
