Can I use ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing extension with ArcGIS for Personal Use license?

I am working on a project for R&D and now it requires ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing (APR) extension. The license that I have for ArcGIS pro is ArcGIS for Personal Use. Can I use the same license for setting up APR extension or do I need to purchase the separate license for ArcGIS pro?

There are 2 separate issues here. As George commented on, ArcGIS for Personal Use is for, well, personal or non-commerical projects. Make sure you are operating within the terms of the licensing you have for the software.

Regarding ArcGIS Pipe Referencening, as you can see on the page George references, ArcGIS for Personal Use does not come with a license for that extensions/functionality. There is nothing from a technical or licensing perspective that prevents a person from using a purchased extension/license with ArcGIS for Personal Use. That said, purchasing a commercial/retail license for an ArcGIS Pro extension does not change the licensing terms of the application itself.

I would go with George's suggestion of contacting your local Esri sales representative. It may be they can offer you a solution that isn't paying complete commercial/retail price since you aren't using it for commercial purposes.

Yes I understand that personal license cannot be used for commercial purpose and this is purely for learning purpose for now. My question was if an extension is not available in Personal Use license, can it be purchased separately and added in ArcGIS Pro activated with personal license as long as it does not violet the licensing terms.

I would reach out to your local Esri rep for the final word, but if you are using it for commercial work (R&D, Staging, Production, etc.) then it would fall outside of the ArcGIS for Personal Use terms.
