We are trying to impletment first fieldmap application from our new enterprise setup.
From the testing i ve been doing in past few weeks the result been quite inconsistent.
but in gernal i found the system sync tool service tend to use many instances each time we run the sync - somehow i found depend on how many maps i was syncing at the same time. it tend to use 1 instance per service per map - which made me wonder how this can possiblly work in the future when we have multiple fieldmap user cases with many fieldworks syncing maps every morning...
On sync tool service current max instance is set as 8 as its on a eight core server machine.
Bit more background in this fieldmap we have about 25-30 layers from about 6 services + esri basemap.
Editable layer was shared from non-versioned sde feature class with replica tracking and archiving enabled.
Non editable ones were shared from tranditional versioned sde feature classes.
Not sure if i gave enough context but any suggestion/idea would be much appreiated!
