More than a decade ago, ESRI promised to implement support for involution (the relation of a table to itself) in fgdB. However, to date, he has not fulfilled that promise. When will he fulfill it? Involution is very often used in practice; every Parent-Child relationship or any other hierarchy is solved precisely by involution, (for example the evolution of landslides over time, the history of parcels, etc.), so it's really not clear why ESRI doesn't enable it for users. Again, when will involution support be implemented in fgdB and mobile geodatabase?
