Greetings,

I'm thinking  of doing a ESRI certification. I'm an experienced Arc GIS Pro (desktop) user through studies for Diploma of Spatial Information Services and use of other GIS platforms.

My question concerns the difference between the EAPA_2025 & EAPA2101. I have compared the "Exam Information Guides" and can identify the differences in skills measured. It seems that EAPA_2025 is exclusively on Arc GIS Pro whereas EAPA2101 requires considerable experience with Arc GIS Online and Enterprise. Is EAPA_2025 Arc GIS PRo only?

Do you think EAPA_2025 would be the best choice for me as I have some experience with Online & Enterprise but much more experience with Pro (desktop)?

I have been reading through previous posts but can't seem to find a clear answer.

Hi @James_Wirth We go through a retirement schedule with our older exams. This allows users who are certified with an older version of the exam to prepare to become certified with the latest version. This also gives individuals more time who were already preparing or scheduling the take the previous version. Hope this helps!

Hi @James_Wirth, great question. The EAPA_2025 exam is brand-new and will publish in January 2025, so I would recommend that one if you can wait until January to take the exam. The EAPA2101 exam was created in 2021, so the 2025 exam is an updated version of that exam.

Thanks Katie for the prompt response. Why do you maintain and offer outdated versions of the exam?
