Exam Comparison: GIS Fundamentals Foundation 2024 and ArcGIS Pro Foundation 2101

  1. Experience: The GIS Fundamentals exam is designed for candidates with 150 hours of GIS coursework or 3-6 months of GIS workplace experience and the ArcGIS Pro exams validate the skills and experience with Esri software at between 0-2 years’ experience.
  2. Exam Duration: The GIS Fundamentals  Foundation exam allows for 1 hour, and 30 minutes and the ArcGIS Pro Foundation exam duration is 1 hour, and 30 minutes.
  3. Exam Blueprints are significantly different (table below) and shown on each Exam Information Guide: GIS Fundamentals Foundation and ArcGIS Pro Foundation.
