Display multi select options based on URL property

Hi, just wondering if its possible to show options from a multi select based on the field:fieldname URL property?

For example, if I have a multi select that has by default 5 options, but I only want to show 3 of those options, could I use the field:fieldname URL property to pass through the 3 options? So essentially prepopulating the options list.
