We have an app that summarizes data for a selected map area. We query various data sources for this information, including our own feature layers and the ESRI geoenrichment API.

https://geoenrich.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World/geoenrichmentserver/GeoEnrichment/enrich?

geo-enrich variables requested example: industrybynaicscode.N02_BUS, or industrybynaicscode.N26_BUS

This works fine for last year's data. However, this year, we are switching over to the 2020 Census Tracts and Block Groups so we can use ACS and other Census data at the appropriate spatial scale. However, when we query the ESRI API with 2020 Tract ID, we receive the following error:

{"description":"The following Standard Geography IDs are invalid in Layer US.Tracts and were removed from the result output: 53033005804.","id":500,"type":"esriJobMessageTypeWarning"},{"description":"The following Standard Geography IDs are invalid in Layer US.Tracts and were removed from the result output: 53033001201.","id":500,"type":"esriJobMessageTypeWarning"}]}

I have verified that the data set in questions (Data Axle + ESRI ) has been updated and is available in Business Analyst Online, by selecting a single 2020 Tract (EG  53033001201)  and running a report that includes the Industry by NAICS code variables.

Does anyone know if and when ESRI will be making this data available in the geo-enrichment API?

Hello, the business summary variables are currently only available in the Census 2010 boundaries. In the June release of ArcGIS Online,  these variables will be available in the Census 2020 boundaries.

Is there an expected date (more specific than just sometime in June) for that release? If not, where is the best place for us to check regularly whether the data for the 2020 tracts are available?

The change log for demographic data updates can be found on this what's new page. There's not an exact date decided for the release yet but we're aiming for the latter half of June.
