File Geodatabase Raster Unavailable as Data Source for Hosted Imagery?

I am creating a hosted imagery layer. My raster is a file geodatabase raster and when I attempt to select it from the Source Data input window and navigate to the fgdb, I see nothing. If I convert the raster to a .tiff i can access it and convert it to a hosted imagery layer. Is this normal behavior?

Thank you,

Randy McGregor

In fact, it won't even display file geodatabases. This folder has several file geodatabases. Is there a setting somewhere that says, 'Ignore file geodatabase rasters as raster input'?

I would guess that it is looking for the imagery on disk or in a mosaic dataset; https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/sharing/overview/publish-hosted-imagery-layers.htm

We no longer recommend storage of imagery in the geodatabase. The best way to access is via Mosaic Dataset.

Thank you. I exported as a tiff and it was able to access that. I'll test a mosaic dataset.
