I'm new to Hub site creation and am being asked by my customer if the Hub site can handle sharing at the content level, not just the whole site. So, for example, can I choose what "Category Cards" on the Hub page are seen by various org members when they sign in? They want named user "x" to see A, B, C category cards and named user "y" to see C, D, E category cards.
This doesn't seem possible or at least I haven't figured out how this sort of thing would work given the sharing model in AGOL (group memberships).
If not possible, are there any suggestions for how this sort of things could be accomplished?
I link applications to certain departments pages. If they aren't in the group for that application they simply won't see it. You could also create different pages and add people to groups and choose which pages each group can see.
Hi @Royce_Simpson,
Every item, including sites, pages, and web maps, that is created or shared with ArcGIS Hub has its own -sharing controls so that you can choose who can view and edit the content shared on your sites and pages. By default, all new items created with ArcGIS Hub are shared privately with the site's or initiative's core team group and content group. Administrators and the item's owner (user who originally created the item) can change the sharing settings of an item, including the site and any pages.
Take a look at these two ArcGIS Hub documentation pages for more information:
Share private content:
https://doc.arcgis.com/en/hub/content/share-private-content.htm
Set view and edit access:

Maria already shared the documentation link I was going to share 🙂 (Topic: Share private content), but I'll also call out that on that doc page, there is instruction on how to set Row visibility for sites and pages, which could be used to show one set of category cards to one group of people and another set of category cards to another group of people on the same site or page.
Thanks all for the tips. Will look into these suggestions.
