Hi ESRI Community,

I have a field map that uses a hosted feature layer published to AGOL from ArcPro 3.3. In this layer, I have many fields with Yes and No as the only domains, some configured in Pro and some added after publishing in AGOL under the fields tab. I have set the default value of these fields in the template, and on the web browser everything appears as to be set up correctly for the mobile employees to see these fields as switches.

However, on the mobile side these fields are still appearing as  combo box type questions. Would anyone know why this behavior would be occurring? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Default values apply to new features i.e. templates.

They won't apply when editing exisiting values.

You can try calculating them to No now.

You need:

  • A list that only has two values and;
  • The default value must be one of these two values and;
  • The default value should be the domain code, not the description/label.

That the default value isn't appearing on the form suggests that default value isn't set correctly.

Can you check the list and is 'No' the actual code and description? If not, set the default value to the code? e.g. 'no' or '0'.

Good morning Christopher,

Thanks for your reply!  It seems that my fields meet the conditions you listed above. 'No' is the actual code and description, and that is what I have set up as the default in the template. I also tested setting the default value of a brand new field to 'No' and then using that in the field map, and that also is still appearing as a combo box.

It appears that the switch is working as expected when I add new points, but for in this field map I would like the mobile workers to edit existing points that we assign to them. Any ideas as to why it wouldn't appear when a mobile worker clicks on the dot and edits the form?
