I am trying to find the best way to share similar datasets with multiple users/groups.

Lets say I have customers A,B,C.

I have two types of feature layers for each type 1 and 2

Each customer can have one or both.

What is the correct way to give the users access and ensure they only get their own data.

I would rather only make one web experience and filter based on group membership of each user and then detecting which feature layers exists. I am just unsure where to start doing this.

Thanks in advance.

I honestly don't know/think it can detect based on a user. I think it would get an error like "can't load ___" due to permissions, would be annoying. My initial thought was different maps/apps shared to their own groups. You can easily duplicate apps and just change what map is feeding into it.

If I understand what you've said correctly ....

The ExB will go into one group that also contains all users but no data. Your data for A,B, and C will then be added to Group A, Group B, and Group C and the appropriate users within each.

To get round any potential issue re permissions in a map, start with a blank and have the users add data to start.
