Publish a map image layer with a mosaic dataset in Enterprise 11

Does anyone know if mosaic datasets be published to ArcGIS Enterprise 11 in a map image layer? The documentation for 10.9.1 explicitly says they can when ArcGIS GIS Server and ArcGIS Image Server roles are licensed: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/10.9.1/publish-services/windows/what-types-of-services-can-y...

But the 11 documentation only links to the ArcGIS Pro document for sharing layers:

The Map Image Layer section doesn't mention mosaic datasets.

If you follow that to the page on the Map Image Layer, it doesn't explicitly mention mosaic datasets either:

So can one publish a map with a mosaic dataset as a map image layer to Enterprise 11? We have aerial imagery we'd like to keep dynamic but needs to be served out as a MapService at REST. Does anyone know if that's possible in Enterprise 11?

It might be a licensing issue. Do you have image server license? If you already have that license and still you can't publish it as a map service, please contact Esri Tech Support and an analyst will be help you.

Also, did you take a look at the server log? does it say anything?

Thanks, Tanu. I haven't been able to test in Enterprise 11 because we haven't upgraded yet and are still in the change-planning phase of making the switch to 11.  I'm just looking for confirmation that publishing a map image service with a mosaic dataset is still possible in Enterprise 11 with an ArcGIS GIS Server role and an ArcGIS Image Server role licensed like it appears to be in 10.9.1.
