Hi ESRI community,

We have recently upgraded from 10.9 to 10.9.1 and found the classic map viewer has the 'Perform Analysis' option missing.

Checked the technical support doc https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000026419 but none of the listed causes are found. Is there an easy way to tell what's going on, e.g. some config file or admin directory or sharing API? It was there before the upgrade.

Server is advanced editon and the hosting server.

Utility services are all configured using AGOL's services

Accessed by the highest privillaged role i.e. administrators.

Tried to delete all the utilitiy services and re-configured it but no luck. I wonder how the Anaylsis option decide itself to show or not to show. There must be a place to check in the backend, right? Any ideas?

Thanks,

Hua

It is from ArcGIS Portal Directory ( https://.........../portal/sharing/rest.  You have to logged in to an Admin account.

Go to Portals -> Self, scroll down to the bottom.  In the Supported Operations:, click on Update.

Fill up the Analysis Service accordingly.

thanks, a lot it helps me with this solution, we face the same issue when we install 10.9.1 for the new environment.😀

solution steps.

(After investigating and making sure there are no issues with the license and federation.)

start :

1- go to ArcGIS Portal Directory actually (  https://webadaptor.domain.com/portal/sharing/rest  ).  Login to the admin account.

2- Go to Portals ->  Self, Scroll to the bottom, then in Supported Operations: Update

Update - contacted ESRI support today. Suggested to run the updatelicense utility on the DataStore machine and restart the ArcGIS services but the issue still persists.

Call for ESRI insider, please help -  a straightforward question, for ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 classic map viewer, what determines the 'Perform Analysis' button/option to show or not to show? When looking at the browser DEV tool, no errors at all, so it must be a licensing-related issue???

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Ended up calling ESRI support to help out. It was something to do with portal directory setting and some licensing reloading. I don't have a step by step instructions for fixing it, sorry.

Here is a snapshot of the setting they fixed

To extend this discussion, anyone knows why this happened at the upgrade? What causes the analysis services wiped out during the upgrade?
