When publishing a map from my desktop to my ArcGIS Online for Organizations account, I would like to be able to choose which folder the hosted service is published to. Publishing to ArcGIS for Server allows this. AGOL, currently, does not.

As it stands, ArcGIS Online allows one to create “Private” groups into which confidential maps, tools and applications can be stored. The administrator of the private group can “invite” users into the group. Problem is that members (invitees) of the group can use the “Save as…” option to save a private map into their account and potentially share it to the public, which usurps the security intentions of the private group. In ArcGIS Online, please disable the “Save as…” functionality for non-administrator members of a “Private” group.

“Feature access capabilities,” via Feature Services, has been added to ArcGIS Server 10 allowing end-users (clients) to query and edit features stored in a geodatabase. However, simple feature editing capabilities are only available in ArcGIS Desktop or web clients like Silverlight, .NET ADF, JavaScript, Flex and ArcGIS.com web map applications. Please add to ArcGIS Explorer, the capability to perform simple point-line-polygon feature editing of ArcGIS Server Feature Services. End-users can do it through web mapping applications, why not in AGX? Providing editing capabilities in AGX is no threat to ESRI’s professional ArcGIS Desktop suite of software.
