How do I change the layout of the layer titles and symbols in WAB Legend widget?

I would like to be able to change the layout of the layer title and symbol so that that the symbol and title are on the same line, as in this image:

I have searched throughout WAB for developers and can't seem to find a way to do this.

   There is no option or easy way to do this. It would involve a LOT of re-coding in the LayerList widget.
