hello Dear Group members

it is Addisalem. young GIS Developer. I used to work in Highway and Environmental Modeling sector as GIS Developer. currently I started working in Bureau of Public utility as GIS Developer. I am new for application of GIS for Water utilities.  is there any web source or book that describe application of GIS for water utilities. how can I get familiarize with this sector, what should be my responsibilities as a GIS Developer. is there any procedure to perform asset management, planning and analysis andintegrate GIS ESRI data With Maximo ESRI Data and vice versa??/

Not really an answer to your question but I am also wanting to learn more regarding GIS and the sewer and storm industries. Is there a national industry group that meets periodically that discusses GIS and related analysis? Is there a subset of industry professionals that possibly meet while at the ESRI UC every year?

at the ESRI User Conference there is a utilities group that meets up, and has a social.... food drinks and good conversions.

Hi,

Esri has developed several solutions for water: ArcGIS for Water. If you are not familiar with them, check out our solutions web site.

We also host a Meetup Group: Esri Water Meetup.

In addition, Esri hosts the Esri Water Conference every year. The conference includes technical sessions, user presentations, learning lab, expo and more. Next year, 2019, the conference will be February 5-7 in Nashville, TN.
