Good evening.

I am writing this message because I was doing the mapping of a flood plain, for my research, and I found a problem.

I did all the steps of a tutorial on youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM2XWb5dNoQ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36wdta8JGbU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aziti65d21E
Which match with HEC-RAS manual.

I performed all the steps in Arc-GIS and GIS I exported successfully Format.
But when importing GIS Format in HEC-RAS, the design does not appear as it should.
Below post the image ArcGIS (as it should appear in the HEC-RAS), and the image that appeared when I opened the file in HEC-RAS.

If anyone has an idea of why this is happening, I will be very grateful.

Hello,

I think I have the same problem. I did a tutorial for HEC-GeoRAS and my imported file in HEC-RAS looks similar to the one you added. I got no error messages and have no idea what I could have possibly done wrong.

Did you find a solution for your problem or is there anyone else that can help?

Best, Saskia

Hello again,

I found the solution (at least for my problem). The created .sdf-file used a comma as decimal separator for the coordinates (probably from my operating system). So I changed those to a "point" with a text editor. Now HEC-RAS imports the file correctly.
