I downloaded the 1981-2010 Annual Average Precipitation by State dataset from USDA NRCS data gateway. The dataset is in polygon with an attribute for average precipitation in inches. This dataset is very easy to clip to my watershed of interest.

Is there a similar polygon dataset for the new 1991-2020 numbers? I've been searching for an hour and have had no luck. My area of study is California.

Thank you

One way to do this is to download the data in NetCDF format (which you did). There should be one band for each hour of precipitation data. I grabbed all 31 days in August and the 24 hours for each. That gives me 744 bands. At the copernicus website, you can specify the area of the earth that you need to keep the file size down. To view an animation of this, you need to use the temporal controller. Since this is not the format that the controller is expecting, 10.1.0.10.1.01you need to run some python code. Use this webpage to get the python code and the instructions to give you
