Exploring Esri User Conference Summits

User conference summits are focused events held in conjunction with the Esri UC - no doubt, many of you have attended pre-conference or co-located Summits in the past. They offer deep dives into specific industries, technologies, or communities of practice. These summits typically occur before or during the main conference and are designed to foster collaboration, learning, and networking. There are numerous Summits planned for the 2025 International EsriUC.

WHY ATTEND SUMMITS?

UC Summits are designed to bring together Esri experts, thought leaders, and attendees with shared interests. Summits like the AI Summit, Developer Summit, and Spatial Analytics Summit offer early previews of new ArcGIS capabilities.

Summits typically feature:

  • Keynotes from industry leaders and Esri executives.
  • Technical sessions and hands-on demos.
  • Networking opportunities and community discussions.
  • Strategic planning sessions for partners and stakeholders

This year at the 2025 Esri UC, we will feature six major summits, each requiring advance reservations due to limited seating (please be sure to register!):

  • GIS Managers Summit (July 13): Strategic discussions for GIS leaders.
  • Imagery Summit (July 15): Focused on remote sensing and imagery workflows.
  • Science Summit (July 15): Covers sustainability, climate resilience, and geodesign.
  • Spatial Analytics Summit (July 15): Explores ArcGIS analytics innovations.
  • AI Summit (July 15 or 17): Highlights AI capabilities in ArcGIS.
  • Native Nations Summit (July 16): Addresses sovereignty and community development.
  • Developer Summit (July 16): For app builders and developers.

In addition to the summits listed above, some summits occur before the main UC and may require separate registration:

  • Education Summit (Ed Summit) and Safety and Security Summit (ES3): Held July 12–13, these require separate registration but include UC access on Monday and Tuesday .
  • Esri Safety & Security Summit - A separate, specialized and focused event, July 12-15
  • Senior Executive Summit (SES) and Global Distributor Summit (GDS): Invite-only events for senior leaders and distributors

As in past years, there are several planned invitation-only pre conference events planned for 2025:

SIGS

SIGs - special interest groups - are different than summits, although, keep in mind, this year at UC  in order to manage the demand for seating, registration is also required in order to attend.  Once attendees have registered for UC, they can simply add these sessions to their schedule. If a session is full, they will have the option to join a waitlist, which will auto-enroll them in the Summit or SIG if space becomes available

Note: summits are included with Esri UC registration but require separate reservations
