Q&A From Meetup:

How compatible are these applications with Utility Network?

Editing utility networks in Field Maps is currently a limited capability. Please reference the following link for more information: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/field-maps/android/use-maps/utility-network.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_D9E9DD1BAA78...

Can QuickCapture be linked with Drive Test Equipment during drive test activities?

QuickCapture can use the GPS that's built into a device, or you can add an external GPS receiver to obtain high-accuracy data. There are many GPS receivers available; however, not all of them work directly with QuickCapture. To use a GPS receiver with QuickCapture, the receiver must support the output of NMEA sentences.

NMEA 0183 is the data specification standard that QuickCapture uses to communicate with GPS receivers. NMEA messages contain lines of data called sentences. QuickCapture derives GPS information such as latitude, longitude, height, and fix type by reading specific sentences in NMEA messages.

QuickCapture supports NMEA 4.00 and 4.10. It can read the following NMEA sentences:

GGA: Time, position, and fix-related data

GSA: GNSS DOP and active satellites

GSV: GNSS satellites in view

RMC: Recommended minimum specific GNSS data

VTG: Course over ground and ground speed

GST: GNSS pseudorange error statistics"

what address dataset did you use in the network path solution?

I reference the 'USA Structures' layers in ArcGIS Living Atlas (https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=0ec8512ad21e4bb987d7e848d14e7e24). I used these polygons to create centroids to route to.

Hi.  I'm in Orlando FL.  Was this project done for Seminole County or for a developer?  Thanks.

This project was actually theoretical produced by our solution engineer, Jon.

We are in the field for many days we want to access the data by having it available to our laptop during the evening hours. Can one copy the data from an external device (hardwire) to our laptop?

Data transfers happen when your device that collected the data in connected mode.

Is there a way for data collected in inspections to automatically update feature layers data tables. For example, update information on a utility pole of when it was last inspected?

Yes, you would want to reference the utility pole feature service when creating the survey.

What are other tool options leverage webhooks besides Power Automate?

Webhook receivers must be configured to communicate over HTTPS. There are a few options that are supported for receivers, such as third-party web service receivers (Microsoft Power Automate, Zapier, and IFFT), custom web services, ArcGIS Notebook Server, and ArcGIS Workflow Manager.

If you are using the Utility Network. Can you pick when network rules are fired against the incoming changes from the field?

Attribute rules will be fired when the record changes hit the database.

Do we get any certifications for attending these webinars.

Yes, we can email you a certification post webinar.

Is there someone on your team I can speak with about a software that can efficiently inventory strand count naming and splicing tables.

Yes, we can help connect you to our business partners which provide many solutions including strand count, tracing, and splicing tables. Feel free to reach out to your Account Manager or anyone on our Telecommunications technical team.

Is the integration of Survey123 into Workforce possible? Specifically to perform a work site assessment prior to completing a job?

Yes, when you start an ArcGIS Workforce assignment you can launch into Field Maps, Survey123, & Navigator.

Specifically for natural disasters, what metrics are you using to determine whether the update is valid or not?

Your data is as accurate as data source you retrieve it from. Our real time data options ingest data from a variety of different sources so that you are able to choose data that meets your validation requirements

Could you please explain the difference between Workflow Manager standard and advanced, please?

Here are a couple of documents where you can compare the difference between the two:

Is automated Field Maps creation a supported function of Workflow Manager?

It is not a supported function. However, field data collection can be identified with a manual step with Workflow Manager. See this link for more information: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/workflow/latest/help/manual-step.htm
