Hi everyone! I'm a middle school GIS teacher in Portland, Oregon... and now that I'm a T3G-er, I'm ready to take my classes to a new level and spread GeoInquiries to every corner of my school! Big thanks to Erika Klose Michael Camponovo Joseph Kerski Anita Palmer Roger Palmer Charlie Fitzpatrick and Tom Baker for pulling me into this community!

Hello! I am a HS Bio teacher in Cincinnati, OH. I started my adventures in GIS tracking turtles with my students. The field work was easy and the part that gave me the most anxiety was entering the data into and using GIS. Luckily, my admins supported me going to the UC this year and I am totally geeked out about getting EVERYONE on board with the wonders of GIS! Before, when all I had experienced was ArcMap(desktop), I had a really hard time visualizing how I could get all students to use the tech. After the Conference and this T3G group, I have so many entry point ideas! Next Monday(8/12/19) I have my first PD session to try to turn my enthusiasm into action in an attempt to create a community of practice for GIS in our district. I think GIS is an amazing tool and I can't wait to see what my kids do with it! I am on twitter @SycScience and IG @ScheidlerScience. Thanks for being the light for me who was SO lost!!
