Hi
I have tried to test localgov's Shelter locator app. I published it from my Arcmap and was doing all the thing that was mentioned in online help.
However when I tested the application I got following results:
As one can see, there are open shelters in search area. What did I do wrong?
Thanks!
Hi Timo,
Would you be able to zip the application and upload it to GeoNET? Will most likely need to troubleshoot this more to determine the issue.
Hi Jake
This app is straight from Shelter locator app webpage:
Shelter Locator | ArcGIS for Local Government
I published it to my AGOL account and uploaded the app to our IIS server and
changed only the WebMapID and other configuration advised.
The webMap is here: http://arcg.is/1SXRAX5
The issue is with the feature layer name in the web map. You will need to either change the name in the web map or update the ActivitySearchSettings. For example, change the name of the layer in your web map from:
Shelters - Open Shelters
to:
Open Shelters
Hi. Thanks for that solution. It works but somehow routing is not possible?
How ever it is enabled in the config.js?
You will need to register the application with ArcGIS Online, and then configure the proxy with the client ID and app secret:
Configure proxy - Shelter Locator | ArcGIS for Local Government
Thank you very for your help! I must try this app with my own data now. Is there something I have to notice when using my own shelter data? Especially when our own shelters in data are all open all the time? Do I have to notice that in config.js or somewhere if not using domains (open/closed)?
Thnx Timo!
No, I don't believe this will cause an issue.
Hi Jake.
I have managed to get it work but a few problems:
When I click the icon, nothing happens so there is no popup window
only blue spot under the icon? However popup is enabled in webmap?
Something wrong in config or webmap?
Another problem comes when I try to put the search result to my list:
the app do nothing meaning just scrolling and I have to restart the app?
Thanks a lot!
Timo
Hi Timo,
Can you zip the entire application and upload it?
