Hey all,

I am starting this thread as a means to get feedback from other Fabric users.  I really only have one machine to commit to testing so it will be beneficial to see if these things occur in other environments with different datasets.

I'll start with some behavior I've encountered with the technique that allows you to planarize lines in the Lines Details dialog.  Steps are as follows:

1. You COGO a few calls and then the survey description says with a stream so many feet--without any actual calls for the stream.
2. You see the stream on the orthophotography, so you reach for the line string tool.
3.  Heads up digitize the stream and overshoot it.
4.  Hit the planarize button (still inside the Line details dialog) to "intersect" existing line and ensure closure.
5. And it "flattens" the line so that you basically only have 2 points on that line.
6. Workaround:  (WIERD) hit undo and it actually planarizes the line!!
7.  Then you can "build."

PS I have everything to SP1.

Got another one here:

Go to the Plan Directory and try to "Delete Plan."  Nothing happens here that I can tell.

Same experience with Delete and Unjoin!?!?

Anyone?

If I remember correctly I've had the same issues with that in the past, where I couldn't delete a plan.  I'll add another one to the list.  There are many times where I cannot add a line-point (an example would be where many parcels fall along a tract) during the construction or construct from parent process.  Meaning, after the construction takes place and I use the "add a line point" tool to add the line points along that long tract boundary it won't allow it.  I acutally have to manually unjoing the group of parcels and then add them in and create those line points during the join process.

"Load Traverse from file" crashes ArcMap every time!  This is an add-in called Parcel Fabric Utilities and can be found with the Tax Parcel Editing Template for 10. Although I found a report of this issue in the blog:  http://blogs.esri.com/dev/blogs/localgovernment/archive/2010/07/28/parcel-editor-add_2d00_in-enhance... I have not been able to find a solution.  I have logged the incident with tech support.

So far I have recreated the normal.mxt, Esri folder in my user profile, and the registry key.  I will post update when I have one.

Tiffany, this is actually supported through the core tools but you have to create a new plan in the Plan Directory, right click and load traverse file.

This isn't as convenient as loading directly into the grid, but is a workaround.

Thanks Chris!  I had been trying that as a work around but I didn't realize that you had to create a new plan for each new traverse.

Tiffany,

When was the last time you downloaded the Parcel Add-Ins from the resource center?  There was a problem with the code a few months back, but it has been fixed and a new version loaded.  Download the Tax Parcel Editing Template and pull out the new version of the Parcel Add-In from the Application directory.  The problem with the Load Traverse from file code is fixed in the latest download

Thanks Larry...I already made sure I had the latest tools.  I was told to contact the "Land Records Team" that developed the add-in.  I haven't had a chance yet to formally contact them regarding the issue.
