Thank you to everyone who attended the Geospatial Collaboration: Evolving Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting at the 2024 Esri User Conference (Esri UC) this year. The SDI team enjoys connecting with users like you each year, and we appreciate the opportunity to hear what you're working toward and to provide recommendations that support your goals. We hope you enjoyed hearing from our guest panelists about the work they are doing in next generation SDI.

As a follow-up, we wanted to share some additional resources that you may find useful.

  • Join this Esri SDI Community space, where you can access blog articles, submit ideas, take part in peer discussions, and find content recapping breakout sessions from the SIG.
  • Subscribe to our Hub newsletter to stay up to date with new ArcGIS Hub features, tips and tricks, resources, and customer success stories.
  • Follow us on X at @ArcGISHub, @EsriFederalGovt and @EsriSLGov.
  •  Attend one of our upcoming webinars. We are planning for several webinars in Q3 (one about best practices to help maximize your SDI/NSDI impact and one about how to leverage ArcGIS Hub and ArcGIS Solutions for conducting homelessness point-in-time (PIT) counts). Click here for webinar registration information.

A New Podcast All About Community Engagement

Also, many of you have reached out expressing interest in digging deeper into examples of community engagement across organizations. We heard you and have launched a new podcast called Engagement Matters. Each 30-minute episode is a deep dive into one person's engagement and collaboration work. Some of the guests for the podcast were past panelists of the SIG, and some might be people you haven't met yet. For each episode we also publish a companion blog post. Read and listen to the trailer, or check out the podcast directly on your favorite podcasting platform: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, PlayerFM, Podbean.

Lastly, please consider sharing your SDI, open data, and Hub sites with us! We are really proud of the sites our users have created and would love to show yours off in our gallery.

Hope to see you at our upcoming webinars and at Esri UC again next year!

Thank you,
Esri SDI Team
