I am Looking at the layer Properties for a Raster Dataset

We can click Symbology Settings

Click Wind Barb

And click Apply OK

In the Northern hemisphere this is the standard convention

However in the Southern Hemisphere The barbs need to stay at the same end of the line, just flipped from left to right.

Has anyone created a layerfile that meets this requirement? - Does anyone know where these symbols are stored so we could perhaps make something custom?

(Changing from From - To in the symbol settings does not acheive this aim it just flips the line.)

Thank you

Hi Dawn

Thank you for the response,

Esri Support have also given me the following Bug Number

#BUG-000103998   Wind barbs and pennants used to symbolize wind direction for RASTER data in the Southern Hemisphere are incorrect.

Kind Regards

Thanks - looks as though this is being addressed from the Eagle side and the Esri, Inc. Dev teams at headquarters side!
