Token Request Limit?

I have a Python script that repeatedly pulls data from a series of hosted feature services. Sometimes when I run it, I guess this error:

I'm wondering if there is any documentation that describes exactly what this limit is, so that I can avoid hitting it. Is it along the lines of "X attempts within Y amount of time", or something else?
