Python add-in toolbar widget caption - change at runtime?

A Python Add-In button/cbo/tool widget's caption is set declaratively in config.xml using the Add-In Assistant. If you look at the Python classes for these widgets, there is no caption or similar property. Is there any way to change a caption at runtime? Thanks, MC

No, the captions for buttons and the like are only defined in the XML. Can't change it with Python code.
