Hi Im having issues with displaying 360 images as a sphere. Ive kept the default values when importing the imagery. But somehow the field of view does not form a sphere around the capture point. Its possible that the Exif information doesnt have the correct information to display the image, but from what I see based on tutorials it seems to have what it needs. Ive attached a screenshot with an example image, properties for the points, as well as the properties for the oriented image catalog.

Update: Heres an example of exif info for the images.

Update (8/1/21):

Ive made a test set of images available to download here https://www.dropbox.com/s/4gp0rkt2xudlkvb/360.zip

The images come from a GoPro Max 360.

Heres a quick view of what I mean when I say that the images are not showing up as a sphere/bubble .

The attached image shows a bit more information.

Hi Randall - were you able to successfully resolve this issue after republishing? We are making forays into OIC with GoPro Max imagery also.

Hi Wil

I'm assuming you are talking about the thread above to do with 360 degree imagery.

In the case of the images show above.. This is what the settings in the OIC should be when adding this data.

The imagery Type selected should be Terrestrial 360 Camera.

This will put all the correct defaults the user should have.

After adding the data... check to see that HFOV is 360 and VFOV is 180. CamPitch should be 90, CamRoll 0 and OIType should be B. The CameraHeading is taken from Exif if available. If not a default is used.

GoPro images generally have Exif info in it. If not you could use The CalulateHeading tool. But the Calulate Heading tool is tailored to be used with sequential images (like streetview) that can be ordered by date or name.

Hope that helps answers your question. There is an update to the GPTool coming next week. It handles 360 images that have the GPano XMP data in it a little better than it currently does.

Randall - thank you for the reply. I'll be picking this back up next week and will use your suggestions. Thank you!
