Is there a way to set the local tile to true night mode?

Hi,

Currently there's no real concept of day and night mode for local tiled layers (TPKs) unless you created two separate TPK files... Or you can try adjusting the Brightness, Contrast and Gamma properties to see if you can achieve your desired effect. These are applied dynamically to the renderer layer.

Longer term (i.e. next major release timeframe) we are working on a vector tiled layer which will provide the performance benefits of traditional image tiled layers but with a smaller footprint and the ability to adjust the rendering dynamically. For a glimpse of this see the Dev Summit Plenary video: Smart Mapping with Vector Map Tiles | Esri Video

Cheers

Hello Mike,

Thank you very much for the reply.  I saw the video about the vector map tiles.  This is what we are looking for.  Can we user ArcGIS Pro to generate the map tile in *.tpk that support ArcGIS Runtime for .Net desktop application?

... if you do want to generate your own TPKs - check out the Basemap templates which contain "MobileDay" and "MobileNight" options: Local Government Basemaps | ArcGIS for Local Government
