Building Models for GIS Analysis Using ArcGIS by Esri

Hi ,

      I am learning the above GIS model building course online. There was a problem in input datasets. In exercise:Explore an existing model, Parcels and gMain feature classes didn't work. While I was trying to connect the gMain as an input feature, it has only option of Selecting Features. Instead, School has both options of Selecting Features and Input Features. Also, it doesn't allow me to run the model. Says 'invalid data'. Is there a solution and tips to do?

Your model has no parameters so I suspect things will fail...have a look at this link

unfortunately, Select Layer By Location work with layer (*.lyr) only so you need to use Make Feature Layer then use the output as input for Select Layer By Location
