Hi everyone, my name is Sebastian Ong-Osmond and I recently graduated from UC Berkeley. I've had experience with ArcGIS in the realm of ecological tracking and environmental impact assessments, but wanted to learn more about cartography and clean energy development and how it relates to GIS.
I see myself utilizing ArcGIS and spatial data science analysis as powerful tools for environmental justice work, and being able to communicate new information to the public, especially in a time when climate change and social justice intersect. Hopefully, I can be in an environmental scientist position that utilize spatial data tools to ensure healthy drinking water for people from all walks of life. This is a topic I find particularly moving here in my home state of California. In my free time, I love learning new languages, growing vegetables, and practicing calligraphy of all sorts. Glad to be a part of GeoNet and learn from all of you!
