Hello, my name is Jenny Beltrán, I am a Geological Engineer, I am doing postgraduate studies in Environmental Management and I work as a GIS consultant in Colombia, in forestry and risk issues. Through the GIS I have managed to carry out zoning of disaster risk threats in my region and have been able to determine changes in land use focused on detecting deforestation sources. I am really interested in continuing to strengthen my knowledge in GIS to advance my work and professional life, especially in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change. I consider GIS to be a great tool that makes it easier for us to understand things.
My coordinates are from one of the most beautiful places in the world, located in my country.

Creo que tu inglés está muy bien y como has visto puedes interactuar en GeoNet en inglés, pero también tenemos un espacio: Comunidad Esri Colombia - Ecuador - Panamá donde puedes hacer tus preguntas en español si lo prefieres.

En este tiempo de estar encerrado, me puedo imaginar que la Laguna de Tota no es el peor lugar de estar. Es un sitio hermoso con muchas flores (y cebolla larga si me recuerdo bien). 

En cuanto a fortalecer tu conocimiento te recomiendo entrar al sitio de learn.arcgis.com y explorar las opciones de análisis espacial y ciencia de datos (https://learn.arcgis.com/es/gallery/#?t=lesson&c=spatialanalysis). También el sitio https://www.esri.com/training/catalog/search/ ofrece muchos webinar y cursos para extender tu conocimiento y siempre si te encuentres con algún reto que no sabes resolver, puedes usar a GeoNet para hacer tus preguntas. 

En caso que no tienes acceso a ArcGIS en este tiempo de aislamiento te cuento que Esri ofrece una licencia de prueba a estudiantes usando el enlace: Become a Member | Learn ArcGIS

Hola Xander Bakker‌ Gracias por tu acogida!! Sii, el Lago de Tota es un lugar muy hermoso, pero por estos días ha estado muy frío!
Muchas Gracias por informarme del equipo de la Comunidad Esri, de la cual hace parte Colombia. Y claro que si!, estamos en el ejercicio de aprender y fortalecernos en el SIG, definitivamente la funcionalidad que se puede brindar desde la ciencia de los datos geoespaciales, son innumerables y de gran contribución a todos los sectores.
