Hi guys,
I am running 10.0.
Related to my previous questionHow to import a dataset table into Arcmap and interpret it , I am now trying to use a consistent color ramp for different dataset interpolation.
What I have to do at this point is to change "layer properties" of layers generated by interpolation tools. What I want seems very simple, to use a consistent "stretch" color ramp like this in every interpolation so I don't have to change it manually.
I have tried to click the save button in the dialog box, but it generates a "raster function template" (.rft.xml) file and I can find nowhere to import it.
So the question is, is there a global setting to set this color ramp to stretch by "Min-Max" to value "0 to 1"?
And here is another advanced question, if I set a global color bar which ranges from 0 to 1, how can I add an indicator showing the range of current map(within 0 to 1), just like the presentation shown below:
http://downloads2.esri.com/MappingCenter2007/ask/OregonAnnualPrecipitation.zip
Download and unzip the file, then open it in PowerPoint and play the presentation.
Thanks,
Joshua
I typically create a color ramp on a dummy data set that contains my min-max values, then in the next/new layer simply go to properties>symbology>import and import the classification/ramp from the dummy layer to the new layer, hope that helps!
