Is it possible to label a feature only if a specific expansion on the dataframe is viewable (ArcMap 10.1)?

For example, i have made a map series and i want to label some features selected by attribute. On one map site a tiny part of such a feature is viewable. I don't want to label this one because just a very small part of a huge feature is shown on the map.

There is a minimum feature size option, but I'm not sure if this will calculate the size on only the visible area:

Yes, the Maplex minimum feature size option only applies to the part of the feature that is in the visible extent.

Thanks, i quickly tested this in the past and i thought it had no effect because this impacts only the real feature size.
I will have a closer look.
