can we export map to pdf with layer transparency preserved

i have map with some vector and raster layers . one layer has transparency. when exported to pdf layer transparency is not preserved in arcgis 10.1. Is it possible to export map to pdf with layer transparency preserved in ArcGIS PRO

I did in ARCGIS 10.3 With option - Image compression- JPEG its giving perfect result.

Yes, ArcGIS Pro will preserve the transparency in the PDF output file.

Adding to David, layer transparency is also preserved in ArcMap while exporting map to PDF.

EDIT: I am using ArcGIS 10.3.1.
