We're excited to announce that LocalMaps 3.3 is now available for deployment!
This release delivers a range of powerful new widgets, major reporting enhancements, improved querying capabilities, and user experience improvements designed to make building and using LocalMaps application even more efficient.
The following section highlights the key new widgets and enhancements introduced in this release. For comprehensive configuration guidance and detailed functionality information,
please refer to the LocalMaps Functionality Matrix and product documentation.
New Widgets
- Filter Widget - Configure predefined filters that users can apply instantly from the map.
- Query Widget - Create predefined queries that users can run against map layers without needing to build queries themselves.
- Floor Filter Widget - Easily browse and interact with floor-aware data.
- Swipe Widget - Compare layers and basemaps using an interactive swipe control.
- Editor Widget - Add, edit, and remove features directly within the map.
- Login Widget - Enable users to log in directly through the Viewer.
- Map Overview Widget - Display an overview map to provide additional geographic context.
Enhanced Modules
1. Reporting Module
The Reporting Module has received several major enhancements:
- Report queuing for improved processing and scalability
- SMTP integration for email distribution
- PDF report attachments
- Conditional elements support
- Advanced queries for tables, conditional elements, and report sections
- Report logs for monitoring and troubleshooting
- Configuration of visible layers displayed on report maps
2. Feature Queries
Feature query functionality now includes:
- Configurable new popup panel layouts for feature query results
- Query to query linking option using Extra results
- Support for additional feature query result outputs by linking a feature query to another feature details.
- In Viewer, hover highlighting to improve feature identification from the feature query results.
3. Linked Search
Enhanced search capabilities that allow related records and data sources to be linked and used for search.
4. Select Widget
New Select by Data capability for selecting features based on attribute data.
5. Viewer UX
- View Table – A widget that provides a convenient shortcut for opening the attribute table.
- Viewer toolbar Minimise option - Ability to minimise the toolbar, providing more screen space for map interaction.
6. Advanced Query Editor
Enhanced and streamlined query-building capabilities for creating more sophisticated data queries in modules such as Feature query, report table queries.
7. Feature Details List
Added hover highlighting to improve feature identification and navigation within Feature details pop-up in the Viewer.
