Hello All!
Objective:
We want to publish hundreds of CAD drawings in TIFF format with minimal overlapping to ArcGIS Online with a provision to toggle the visibility of individual images.
Details
We have few hundreds of CAD drawings grouped into individual projects showing the construction activities being taken up to lay electrical cables. These CAD drawings have intricate symbology and dimensioning details that cannot be recreated in ArcGIS. These CAD drawings also have 15-20 percent overlap between adjacent drawings. We intend to export CAD drawings as images, georeference and publish to ArcGIS Online and use it in offline mode in Field Maps.
I georeferenced the drawings in Pro. However, when it comes to publishing these images to ArcGIS Online we are currently using the hosted tile layer option to publish these images individually.
Given the overlap, we have a compelling need to toggle the visibility of individual images.
With this constraint, I publish every image as a separate Hosted Tile Layer. However, with hundreds of images to be made available in the field for every construction project we are not confident that this will work. Ideally we like to explore the option to group and publish the images as a SINGLE imagery layer for every construction project with the provision to switch on-off the visibility of individual images.
I even created a mosaic dataset by referencing the individual images in ArcGIS Pro. However, I am unable to publish this as an Imagery layer to AGOL due to licensing issues.
Could anyone guide me in choosing the appropriate option to achieve my objective?
Will summarize.
Thanks
Govind
