It looks like hospitals are able to use a hot spot analysis in order to identify high-costs for healthcare providers. Then GIS can be used to determine the best healthcare needed for these individuals, thus reducing ER times and increasing efficiency in Doctor visits.

Is that the 'correct' answer to this question?

Either way, it's really cool and I love seeing GIS grow like this.

But in all honesty, why on earth would you have an article about GIS and NOT include a map???

Thank you for your comments.  This was an outside publication that we were interviewed for but yes, it would have been great to have a map!
